Call for JRA Projects

1st March - 31st March

Objective

The calls are aiming to engage the partners in research and network activities (JRA 2&3) targeting the chain development and synergy (horizontal & vertical integration) between the installations. The projects should undertake cross-installations activities, supported by a minimum of 2 participating organisations. An involvement of users in one or another form is a PLUS. For example, this could be initiated by a TNA project.
Two types of projects are envisaged:

  • At least one partner + at least one user/user group (external integration);
  • At least two installations from different partners/infrastructures (internal integration).

The project may integrate/build upon national and EC projects in which the partner organisations are involved.

Ambition

The focus of proposals should be on:

  • Identifying discrepancies between the requirements of users and capabilities of the installations.
  • Developing tests practices across technologies and process chains.
  • Characterising/developing direct low throughput micro/nano patterning technologies for fabrication of prototypes and batch-manufacture of masters.
  • Adopting process modelling and CAD/CAM tools that facilitate process integration.
  • Cross-infrastructures benchmarking projects for assessing alternative/ complementary processes.
  • Cross-infrastructures pilot projects for developing new process chains.
  • Developing demonstrators, e.g. reference process chains, to illustrate the capabilities of the integrated infrastructures in meeting specific users’ requirements.
